Both releases will be released on 24 November.David Hasselhoff has taken on the role of guest vocalist for Love Me Tender, Looking For Freedom and most notably the orchestral interpretation of the opening theme from the now cult TV series Knight Rider, in which he played the lead role of Michael Knight. The album and DVD also include hits such as What A Wonderful World, Love Me Tender, O Sole Mio, Can't Help Falling In Love and Think of Me from the musical The Phantom of the Opera.The DVD The Magic of Maastricht celebrates thirty years of the Johann Strauss Orchestra, which Rieu founded in 1987. He currently plays an average of one hundred performances a year with the orchestra, which regularly attracts over 110,000 visitors. Today, every concert of the orchestra under Rieu's direction guarantees an unforgettable experience full of classical music evergreens, during which the visitors often move into the aisles and spontaneously waltz to the magical sound of the Strauss orchestra.André Rieu's activities are aimed at introducing and bringing classical music to the widest possible audience, which he tries to make fall in love with it. He is more than successful in doing so. People dance, sing, cry and smile at his concerts. He has over 500 platinum awards, which no other classical music artist in history has achieved. Rieu is also one of the most prolific writers - he records both on tour and in his own studio in his hometown of Maastricht and has several dozen albums, singles and DVDs to his credit. His dream is to be the first to perform on the moon and at the North Pole. "My heart still beats for Strauss' music and my beloved orchestra. As long as there is music in this world, we can always hope for happiness, love and peace," says Rieu.André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra will perform at the O2 Arena in Prague on 1 June.
