Přesně před 30 lety - 21. srpna 1990 - vydaly thrash a speed metalové ikony Anthrax své páté album "Persistence of Time". Anthrax (založeni v roce 1981), společně s Metallicou, Megadeth a Slayer jako "Velká čtyřka", byli po léta ikonami světové metalové scény. Jsou považováni za spoluzakladatele a průkopníky subžánru thrash metal.

Dílo, které bylo v USA oceněno zlatem za 500 000 prodaných desek, nyní vychází jako bohatě vybavený 2CD set včetně DVD se záběry ze zákulisí turné u Megaforce Records. Vinylová verze obsahuje 4 LP. Na revidovaném obalu této edice je uveden původní návrh, který nakonec nebyl použit. CD1 obsahuje plně remasterovaných 11 skladeb z původního alba. O remastering, na který dohlížel bubeník Charlie Benante, se postaral specialista Anthrax Paul Logus, který předtím masteroval alba "Worship Music", "For all Kings", EP "Anthems" a DVD "Kings Among Scotland" a "Chile on Hell". Na CD1 je také zařazena speciální bonusová B-strana skladby "I'm The Man" z roku 1990, která je více hiphopová než rockově orientovaná, a živá verze skladby "Time" nahraná v michiganském Palace of Auburn Hills v roce 1991. Poslední dvě písně na CD1 a všech 9 skladeb na 2. CD pochází z "Charlie's Stash", bezkonkurenční sbírky zkoušek, autorských sezení, demosnímků a živých vystoupení, které Benante nahrál za posledních 40 let.

DVD obsahuje "guerillový" pohled na každodenní život na turné, nahraný v roce 1991 během společných koncertů s Iron Maiden.

Exactly 30 years ago - on August 21, 1990 - thrash and speed metal icon Anthrax released their fifth album "Persistence Of Time". Anthrax (founded in 1981) have been icons of the world metal scene for years, together with Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer they form the "Big Four". They are considered co-founders and pioneers of the thrash metal subgenre. The work, which was awarded gold in the USA for 500,000 records sold, is now being released as a lavishly equipped 2CD set including a DVD with behind-the-scenes tour footage by Megaforce Records. The vinyl version includes 4 LPs. The artwork, reworked for this release, includes the original but ultimately unused artwork. CD1 contains fully remastered 11 tracks from the original album. The remastering, supervised by drummer Charlie Benante, was handled by Anthrax specialist Paul Logus, who has already mastered the albums "Worship Music", "For all Kings", the "Anthems" EP and the DVDs "Kings Among Scotland" and "Chile on Hell". In addition, CD1 includes a special bonus B-side of 1990's "I'm The Man", which is more hip-hop than rock, and a live version of "Time" recorded at the Michigan Palace of Auburn Hills in 1991. The last two songs on CD1 and all nine tracks on the second CD come from "Charlie's Stash," an incomparable collection of rehearsals, songwriting, demos and live performances Benante has recorded over the past 40 years. The DVD includes "guerrilla" footage from the 1991 tour during his joint shows with Iron Maiden.
