Asking Alexandria is an English metalcore band from York, formed in 2008. Their debut album Stand Up and Scream was released in 2009. The second album, Reckless and Relentless, was released in 2011. The band took a hiatus from 2013 to 2015 due to the departure of lead singer Danny Worsnop and his subsequent return. Their third album, Asking Alexandria , was released in 2017.

British metalcore band Asking Alexandria returns with new energy and brings the follow-up to 2016's successful "The Black" with a "new old" line-up. After vocalist Danny Worsnop announced his departure from Asking Alexandria in 2015, shortly after the release of the groundbreaking album "From Death To Destiny", many fans of the band reacted with shock. With the new album of the same name, fans can breathe a sigh of relief once again as Worsnop has returned to the band. The first rumors were louder in late summer, with Asking guitarist Benjamin Bruce dropping a bombshell on the band's Facebook page in October: "Asking Alexandria are back and with the fucking original lineup as we started." Matt Good, guitarist from From First To Last , who has worked for bands like Veil of Maya, Whitney Peyton and Memphis May Fire , helped produce the band's fifth LP. Of course, reunion plays a role in the lyrics. In "Into The Fire" Worsnop sings about those who stood by the band through the bad times, while in "Alone In A Room" he talks about being away for a while.
