BADBADBADNOTGOOD je mladý talentovaný kvartet ve složení Matthew Tavares - klávesy, Chester Hansen - baskytara, Alex Sowinski - bicí a Leland Whitty - saxofon. Vznikli a stali se nerozlučnými přáteli na Humber College's Music Performance program v roce 2011 a od té doby jsou na kritikou oceňované, pravidla ohýbající hudební cestě. BBNG vzali hudební svět útokem svým LP III z roku 2014, drzou a zároveň rafinovanou nahrávkou plnou hranatých jazzových improvizací, svěžích balad, krautrocku a futuristických rytmů s hiphopovým nádechem, která vedla k několika letům koncertování po celém světě a spolupráci s těmi nejlepšími a nejzářivějšími umělci po celém světě.
Kluci jsou zpět s novým albem IV, jejich dosud nejpůsobivějším a nejočekávanějším projektem. IV pokračuje v jejich progresivním myšlení a zní něco jako jam session v prostoru mezi Can, Johnem Coltranem, Headhunters Herbieho Hancocka, Weather Report, Arthurem Russellem & MF DOOM.
Se skladbami jako "Time Moves Slow" s podmanivým vokálem Sama Herringa z Future Islands, synkopickým groovem "Lavender", spoluprací s montrealským producentem Kaytranadou, duněním fusion build "Confessions Pt. II" s Colinem Stetsonem na basový saxofon, "Love", kterou podtrhuje kouřový left field rap Micka Jenkinse, a epickými akordy "Speaking Gently" je IV průzkumem post-žánrové virtuozity. BBNG, kteří vycházejí v létě 2016 u Innovative Leisure Records, opět dokazují, že možnosti a objevy v jejich hudebním hledání jsou nekonečné.

BADBADBADNOTGOOD is a young talented quartet consisting of Matthew Tavares - keyboards, Chester Hansen - bass, Alex Sowinski - drums and Leland Whitty - saxophone. They formed and became inseparable friends on Humber College's Music Performance program in 2011 and have been on a critically acclaimed, rule-bending musical journey ever since. BBNG took the music world by storm with their 2014 LP III, a brash yet sophisticated record full of edgy jazz improvisations, lush ballads, krautrock and futuristic rhythms with a hip-hop twist that led to several years of touring the world and collaborating with some of the best and brightest artists around the globe. The boys are back with their new album IV, their most impressive and anticipated project yet. IV continues their progressive thinking and sounds like a jam session in the space between Can, John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock's Headhunters, Weather Report, Arthur Russell & MF DOOM. With tracks like "Time Moves Slow" featuring the haunting vocals of Future Islands' Sam Herring, the syncopated groove of "Lavender," the collaboration with Montreal producer Kaytranada, the rumbling fusion build of "Confessions Pt. II" with Colin Stetson on bass sax, "Love" underscored by Mick Jenkins' smoky left field rap, and the epic chords of "Speaking Gently" make IV an exploration of post-genre virtuosity.
