Recorded earlier this year with Andy Savours (My Bloody Valentine) and completed at the end of a UK-wide curfew, the album is a perfect representation of the new band and all the energy, raucousness and explosive drive that comes with it, while clearly being the work of a band uninterested in repetition, monotonous songwriting or creative stagnation. Featuring six new songs, including reinterpretations of early tracks "Sunglasses" and "Athens, France," "For The First Time" is a sonic time capsule that somehow captures the past, present and future simultaneously. Despite only having these two early singles under their belt, Black Country, New Road - they originally got their name from a random number generator - have made a deep impression on fans and critics alike.
