*** Limited edition of 3,000 copies worldwide *** The Other Side of Bob Dylan presents a lesser-known romantic, absurd and whimsical side of Bob Dylan that hasn't appeared much on the musician's previous intellectual releases. With "Another Side of Bob Dylan" he corrects his course and with it his image as spokesman for a rebellious generation and savior of the people. Dylan has turned away from drama and made an album full of crazy whimsy, hallucinogenic prose, humorous insight and non-committal themes. The result is a colourful record that brings together now-classic Dylan songs such as All I Really Want to Do, Chimes of Freedom, My Back Pages, I Don't Believe You and It Ain't Me Babe. The recording was made on June 9, 1964, at Columbia Studio A, and provides a glimpse into Dylan's ease: the listener perceives him laughing, relaxed and at ease. The sound is appropriately nervous and open, and doesn't at all seem to come from analog tapes nearly half a century old. The remastering of the mono hybrid SACD for Mobile Fidelity was handled by Rob LoVerde and Shawn R. Britton.
