With "Another Side of Bob Dylan" he corrects his course and with it his image as spokesman for a rebellious generation and savior of the people. Dylan has turned away from drama and made an album full of crazy whimsy, hallucinogenic prose, humorous insight and non-committal themes. The result is a colourful record that brings together now-classic Dylan songs such as All I Really Want to Do, Chimes of Freedom, My Back Pages, I Don't Believe You and It Ain't Me Babe. The recording was made on June 9, 1964, at Columbia Studio A, and provides a glimpse into Dylan's ease: the listener perceives him laughing, relaxed and at ease. The sound is appropriately nervous and open, and doesn't at all seem to come from analog tapes nearly half a century old. The remastering of the mono hybrid SACD for Mobile Fidelity was handled by Rob LoVerde and Shawn R. Britton.
