The album spawned six singles: "24K Magic", "That's What I Like", "Chunky", "Finesse", "Too Good to Say Goodbye" and "Uptown Funk". The album's production was handled by a number of producers, including Shampoo Press & Curl, Jeff Bhasker, Emile Haynie, Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars himself. The album's sound is a departure from the funk and soul-inspired sound of Mars' first two albums, Unorthodox Jukebox (2012) and Doo-Wops & Hooligans (2010). The album has received universally positive reviews from music critics.
