Brutal and uncompromising in execution, Carcass' ability to dissect the guts of death metal and make it sonically understandable for us has been their sense of excellence for over three decades. Last December (2019), the band released their first single in over five years, "Under The Scalpel Blade", followed by a four-song EP titled "Despicable" (October 2020), setting a strong precedent for a full-length album to be released in 2021: OVERLOOKED ARTERIES. The album's very title refers to an old demo recorded by original drummer Ken Own in the 1980s, and TORN ARTERIES closes out the discography of modern-day CARCASS, directly harkening back to their beginnings over 30 years ago. Most will find that the only real problem with watching TORN ARTERIES is fighting the urge to start over once it's over. For a band with such a reputation, there's a lot of new stuff here, while maintaining the addictive, time-tested CARCASS sound that has become the face of true death metal.

Carcass released Torn Arteries in 2021 and it was a brutal and intense album. It was full of fast and heavy songs that are guaranteed to get your heart racing. The album was a great comeback for the band and showed that they are still at the top of their game.
