One of them is Claude Debussy, whose death in March 2018 will mark 100 years since his death. He was one of the first to discover sound as a means of making music. The LP Impressions - The Sound of Debussy brings together highlights from his groundbreaking recordings. His music is reminiscent of an endless stream of consciousness in vibrant colours that shine out in a rainbow of colours on legendary recordings by Debussy specialists led by conductors Jean Martinon, Jean-Francois Paillard and Carlo Maria Giulini. The first side of the LP is devoted to the piano work - with Debussy's absolute hit Claire de Lune (Moonlight) with Cecile Ousset leading a glorious line-up of pianists that also includes Michel Beroff, Samson Francois, Yuri Yegorov and Debussy himself, who is represented by a rare recording of the piano part.
