Music For The Masses je šesté album skupiny Depeche Mode. Název alba byl míněn ironicky, protože Depeche Mode se v době jeho vzniku považovali za nezávislou indie kapelu. Dnes už Dave, Martin a Fletch dávno plní stadiony po celém světě.

Dlouhohrající deska se skladbami Strangelove, Behind The Wheel a především Never Let Me Down Again obsahovala tři písně, které patří ke klasice kapely. Little 15 vyšla jako singl na žádost francouzské národní organizace a nebyla tak úspěšná jako ostatní skladby.

"Depeche Mode překlenují propast mezi skvělými melodiemi, metalovým zvukem a temnou melancholií. Vždy je podtrhuje basový hlas Davea Gahana. Chůze po laně mezi popovou euforií a emocionální propastí, mezi obálkou časopisu Bravo a undergroundem. The long-playing album contained three tracks that are among the band's classics: Strangelove, Behind The Wheel and, most notably, Never Let Me Down Again. The track Little 15 was released as a single at the request of the French National Society and was not as successful as the other tracks. "Depeche Mode are a bridge between great melodies, metal sound and gloomy melancholy. It is always underlined by Dave Gahan's bass voice.
