Album "Jolene" v původně vydané verzi obsahovalo deset skladeb, z nichž všechny byly velmi kvalitní. Dvě z nich se staly countryovými hity číslo jedna. Prvním z nich byla titulní skladba "Jolene", která se v roce 1976 stala hitem první desítky a kterou coverovali mnozí, včetně Olivie Newton-John, později The White Stripes a v poslední době BossHoss a Ilse Delange. Druhou slavnou písní je samozřejmě "I Will Always Love You", i když jí trvalo, než si získala mezinárodní věhlas. V roce 1975 ji coverovala Linda Ronstadt a v roce 1992 se stala celosvětovým hitem díky filmu Osobní strážce ve verzi Whitney Houston.

Na album byly přidány čtyři bonusové skladby, včetně "Cracker Jack", zábavné písně o jejím malém štěněti, a další verze "Barbara On Your Mind". Bonusové skladby na LP verzi chybí.

The album "Jolene" in its original form contained ten tracks, all of which were of very high quality. Two of them became number one country hits. The first of these was the title track "Jolene" which reached the top ten of the charts in 1976 and was covered by many including Olivia Newton-John, later The White Stripes and more recently BossHoss and Ilse Delange. Another famous song is of course "I Will Always Love You", although it took some time for it to gain international fame. In 1975 it was covered by Linda Ronstadt and in 1992 it became a worldwide hit thanks to the movie The Bodyguard as performed by Whitney Houston. Four bonus tracks were added to the album, including "Cracker Jack", a fun song about her little puppy, and another version of "Barbara On Your Mind". The bonus tracks are missing from the LP version.
