With the release of the following album "One of These Nights", the band put all their eggs in one basket and achieved the Eagles' first chart success with a full album. The album was released on June 10, 1975, and in May of that year, the advance single featuring the title track appeared. The song had already become a major radio hit by the time the full album hit stores, and reached number one on the Hot 100 chart the week of August 2, 1975. When the title track began to fall from the top of the charts, the Eagles released the second single from the album, "Lyin' Eyes". Like the previous single, "Lyin' Eyes" reached the top of the charts and reached No. 2 in the week of November 8, 1975. The song that dethroned the Eagles from the No. 1 spot: "Island Girl" by Elton John. A week after the peak of "Lyin' Eyes", the Eagles released "Take It to the Limit" as the third single from "One of These Nights". The song reached No. 4 on the Hot 100 the week of March 13, 1976.
