Právě v den šestnáctého výročí založení skupiny, 1. dubna 1996, napsal Blixa Bargeld text písně "Ende Neu", která se vzápětí stala titulní skladbou sedmého alba Einstürzende Neubauten, díla, které znamenalo zlom v historii kapely. Přestože čtveřice skladatelů pro tuto produkci opět listovala ve svých archivech industrializace moderní hudby, nikdy předtím nebyly skladby tak harmonické a lyrické jako na "Ende Neu". Pravděpodobně nejznámější skladbou je balada "Stella Maris", kterou jako duet přednesly Blixa Bargeld a Meret Beckerová a která je orchestrována opulentními smyčci. I tisk měl pro toto dílo slova chvály. Přesto všechno album zároveň předznamenalo konec dlouholeté sestavy kapely, F. M. Einheit skupinu opustil, aby se od té doby věnoval spíše sólovým aktivitám. Třináct let po původním vydání "Ende Neu" se album vrací do obchodů s přepracovaným obalem a bonusovým materiálem (skladba "Bili Rubin" a také videoklipy a zvukové ukázky).

A reissue of the cult band's 1996 album and bonus material.On April 1, 1996, the exact day of the band's 16th anniversary, Blixa Bargeld wrote the lyrics to "Ende Neu", which immediately became the title track of the band's seventh album Einstürzende Neubauten, a work that marked a turning point in the band's history. Although the four composers once again leafed through their archives of modern music industrialization for this production, never before had the songs been as harmonically and lyrically attuned as on "Ende Neu". Probably the most famous piece is the ballad "Stella Maris" in a duet by Blixy Bargeld and Meret Becker with rich string orchestration. Even the press found words of praise. Yet the album also marked the end of the band's long-running line-up; F. M. Einheit left the structure to pursue more solo activities from then on. Thirteen years after the initial release of "Ende Neu", the album returns to stores with revised artwork and bonus material (the track "Bili Rubin" and video clips and sound samples).
