Lights je debutové studiové album anglického zpěváka a skladatele Ellie Goulding , které vyšlo 1. února 2010 u Polydor Records. Po podpisu nahrávací smlouvy se společností Polydor v červenci 2009 začala Goulding album nahrávat v Londýně s producentem Starsmithem. Textový obsah alba vycházel z osobních zkušeností a postřehů Goulding. Album Lights bylo dobře přijato hudebními kritiky, kteří chválili Gouldinginy pěvecké schopnosti a produkci alba. Album se dostalo na první místo britského žebříčku alb a získalo platinový certifikát Britského fonografického průmyslu (BPI). Z alba vzešly čtyři singly: "Under the Sheets", "Starry Eyed", "The Writer" a "Lights".

She's also moved from her folk beginnings, thanks to a collaboration with an English electropop artist named Frankmusik, to the polished electronic pop you'll hear on her debut album Lights. The first single was the fantastic Starry Eyed. The album is now out in a re-release, enhanced with a great cover of Elton John's Your Song and other new tracks

Ellie Goulding is definitely not another mediocre singer who appears in the great cauldron of "electro-folk-acoustic pop". Because: not only does Ellie Goulding embody the do-it-yourself spirit that was already heavy last year, but she's already created the sound of 2010. She's making music that appeals to a lot of people, but her songs are too multi-layered, too interesting, too idiosyncratic to dismiss as obvious. Though one inevitably gets to word creations like "electro-folk-acoustic pop" - though strictly speaking the term "grandiose sound" would have sufficed - her songs are so soulful and big that they almost come across as oversized film music.
