"Wolverine Blues" is the third studio album by Swedish death metal band Entombed, first released in September 1993 on Earache Records and now re-released on vinyl in remastered form. The content is based on the book by James Ellroy ("The Big Nowhere"), which tells the story of a psychopathic killer who is obsessed with wolverine. After they broke through in the early nineties and became the first extreme metal band to conquer the charts in their country, hundreds of other bands copied their sound. This reissue was pressed from the original master tapes in the highest quality.

This album has been specially remastered using FDR - Full Dynamic Range Mastering technology, so that all the nuances of the music shine through and the album gets a more dynamic sound than ever before. The band was the first extreme metal band to hit the charts in Sweden, and went on to international success. Formed in the late 1980s, Entombed was originally called Nihilist and had a great reputation in the underground death metal scene. The band toured all over the world with great success and eventually signed to a major record label, Columbia Records, in the mid-1990s. Shortly thereafter, leader Nicke Andersson left the band, later reaping success with The Hellacopters.
