Debut zpět na vinylu "Temný, svůdný, svůdný a hluboce filmový", tak by se dal popsat debut "Felt Mountain" skupiny Goldfrapp. V roce 2022 britské synthpopové a electroclashové duo, které tvoří jmenovci Alison Goldfrapp a Will Gregory, vydává album znovu na vinylu.

"Felt Mountain" původně vyšlo 11. září 2000 na nezávislém labelu Mute Records. Je řazeno do kategorie trip-hopu, ačkoli vlivy na albu jsou mnohem rozmanitější a sahají od popu 60. let přes kabaret až po folk a elektroniku. Texty napsala Alison Goldfrapp a jsou to abstraktní, obsesivní příběhy inspirované filmy a jejím dětstvím. Na nahrávání alba se podílela řada hostujících hudebníků, například Adrian Utley z Portishead, Nick Batt, John Parish, Alexander Bălănescu a mnoho dalších.

Z alba vyšly čtyři singly s písněmi "Lovely Head", "Human", "Utopia" a "Pilots". Jen ve Velké Británii se prodalo přes 250 000 kopií "Felt Mountain". V Německu dosáhla svého nejlepšího umístění v hitparádě na 38. místě a byla také nominována na britskou Mercury Prize.

Reedice je k dispozici jako zlatý vinyl v gatefold obalu s bookletem. LP a CD a obsahuje nové poznámky na obalu od Liora Philipse a fotografie od Joe Dilwortha a Anny Fox.
