Reissue of Helloween's sixth studio album on 180g vinyl (no extras). Helloween went through several changes during their career and before the recording of "Master Of The Rings" there were again big cuts. Drummer Ingo Schwichtenberg left the band for health reasons and shortly afterwards Michael Kiske also left due to internal disagreements. They were replaced by singer Andi Deris (formerly of Pink Cream 69) and drummer Uli Kusch, who were supposed to consolidate the new Helloween line-up. In order not to burden the listener even more with all the changes, they deliberately shifted their sound very close to the two "Keeper Of The Seven Keys" albums to reclaim familiar territory. Speed metal with catchy choruses is the basic formula here.

The album reached number 9 on the German album chart and was certified gold by the Federal Music Industry Association (BVMI) for selling more than 100,000 copies. The album was recorded at Dierks Studios in Stommeln, Germany. The album was produced by Charlie Bauerfeind and Helloween and mixed at Toytown Studios in Lübeck, Germany. The album artwork was created by Andreas Marschall. The first single from the album, "I Believe", was released on November 7, 1994. The album's second single, "Power", was released on February 6, 1995. Master of the Rings is a power metal album. It is the first album to feature Andi Deris on vocals.
