The album was preceded by the release of the album's lead single "It's Time" on 21 August 2012. The album Night Visions charted in the top ten of the Billboard 200 in the United States and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).The second single from the album, "Radioactive", charted at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and is the band's first single to reach the top ten of that chart. It also reached the top ten in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. "Demons" was released as the third single from the album and reached the top twenty in the United States and Canada. "Night Visions" was well received by music critics. On Metacritic, which assigns a standardized rating out of 100 to reviews by mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 73, indicating a "generally favorable rating". The four-piece band Imagine Dragons released their debut album this year, which is multi-platinum worldwide and has become one of the most played bands on the radio with hits like It's Time and Radioaktive. The band is also doing well in the Czech Republic, selling out the Sasazu club where they played a fantastic concert. The album is now released in a deluxe edition enriched with many new songs.The band's name, which encourages the representation of dragons, contains an anagram whose exact origin is unknown to none other than the band members themselves. Hailing from glittering Las Vegas, Imagine Dragons musically straddle the line between sympathetic indie-rock, hip-hop and electronica - their songs about demons (Demons), time (It's time) and bleeding (Bleeding out) are no bleeders, but rather energetic ballads about life. And where else to find inspiration for them but in Vegas! "I wrote It's Time during a pretty transitional period," recalls Dan Reynolds, Imagine Dragons' drummer and lead singer. "Everything was going wrong. I was trying to decide what to do with my life, whether to do music professionally - I was making tough decisions about who I was and would be. I wrote the whole song in my kitchen, stomping around, clapping. I didn't think I was writing a hit song, I was just writing what was important to me at the time."
