Album beschikbaar op vinyl (LP) en CD in 2 uitgaven. Iron Maiden : Rock In Rio is a live album by British heavy metal band Iron Maiden , recorded at the Rock in Rio festival in Brazil in 2002. It was released on 11 November 2002. The album was recorded on the second day of the festival, September 21, 2002, and features performances of almost the entire "Rock in Rio" setlist. The album was a critical and commercial success, reaching number one in six countries and selling over two million copies. It was praised by critics for its performance and production and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album. Iron Maiden : Rock In Rio was the band's first live album since 1992's Live After Death and the first album released with singer Bruce Dickinson since 2000's Brave New World. The album was recorded in front of nearly 200,000 people and was the last time the band played the entire "Rock in Rio" setlist. The album featured 22 songs, including "The Wicker Man", "Ghost of the Navigator", "Blood Brothers", "Sign of the Cross" and "The Trooper". It also includes a rendition of the Iron Maiden classic "Run to the Hills". Album valt binnen het genre Rock en Zwaar metaal.

"Rock In Rio" back on vinyl "Rock In Rio", Iron Maiden's fifth live album, finally returns on LP in 2017, completely remastered and on 180g heavyweight black vinyl. "Rock In Rio" was originally released on March 25, 2002 and was recorded at the Rock in Rio festival on January 19, 2001, where Iron Maiden headlined to an estimated 250,000 people. In addition to "Rock In Rio", Iron Maiden and Parlophone Records are releasing eleven more albums from 1990-2015 in chronological order as part of a major vinyl reissue series in 2017. The first of these will be the May 19 studio releases "No Prayer For The Dying", "Fear Of The Dark", "The X Factor" and "Virtual XI". "No Prayer For The Dying" and "Fear Of The Dark" will also be released in a limited "Collectors Box" that offers space for other reissues as well as Iron Maiden's new album "The Book Of Souls". This will be followed by "Brave New World", "Rock In Rio (Live)", "Dance Of Death" and "A Matter Of Life And Death" on June 23rd. Last but not least, "Death On The Road (Live)", "Flight 666 (Live)", "The Final Frontier" and "En Vivo! (Live)" will be released on vinyl again on July 21. All reissues are 180g LPs with the original artwork of the first releases. Unlike the first eight albums, which were released in 2014 and mastered from analog master tapes for the reissue, the artwork for the twelve new pressings comes from high-resolution remasters from 2015. Now finally back on vinyl: "Rock In Rio", the fifth live album from hard rock legends Iron Maiden.

The album Rock In Rio was recorded on January 19, 2001 during the last concert of the Brand New World tour at the cult festival of the same name. The show was held in front of 100,000 fans and was subsequently televised worldwide. The Live Collection - Remastered follows the recent release of The Studio Collection - Remastered, which presented the entire catalogue of Maiden's 16 studio albums in a four-part series. The albums feature high-quality audio from the 2015 Mastered for iTunes project and bring these versions of the collection to CD for the first time!
