Judas Priest The 1984 album Defenders of the Faith was a breakthrough for the band and one of their most successful albums. The album included the hits "Breaking the Law", "Love Bites" and "Some Heads Are Gonna Roll" and was a critical and commercial success, reaching number six on the Billboard charts. Defenders of the Faith introduced the band's signature heavy metal sound and many metal bands have cited it as an influence. The album was certified platinum by the RIAA and was named one of the best metal albums of all time.
