My Worlds is the debut studio album by Canadian singer Justin Bieber , released on 17 November 2010 on Island Records. Bieber was discovered in 2008 by Scooter Braun, who accidentally stumbled upon Bieber's YouTube videos and later became his manager. Braun arranged for Bieber to meet Usher and later signed him to Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG), a joint venture between Braun and Bieber's mother Pattie Mallette. The album was recorded in 2009 and 2010 at The Record Plant studio in Hollywood, California. Bieber worked with producers such as The Messengers, Jaden Smith and Tricky Stewart, as well as R&B singer-songwriter Usher, who served as executive producer on the album. The album My Worlds received quite favorable reviews from music critics, who praised its production and Bieber's vocals. It debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 283,000 copies in its first week. Bieber thus became the youngest solo artist to top the chart since Stevie Wonder in 1963. It also became the first album by a Canadian artist to top the Billboard 200. Internationally, the album reached the top five of the Australian, Canadian and UK album charts.
