Timberlake už v lednu a únoru představil čtyři ochutnávky: singly "Filthy", "Supplies", "Say Something" a titulní skladbu "Man Of The Woods".

A ukazují, že se zpěvák v roce 2018 opět nevyhýbá hudebním změnám. Naopak: má nový a někdy až nezvykle futuristický zvuk. Není divu, vždyť si na svém novém albu dal za cíl spojit prvky tradiční americké rockové hudby s moderními hudebními vlivy.

V případě "Filthy" se na něm podíleli především producenti Timbaland a Danja. Zpěvákovi se dostalo autorské podpory od Jamese Fauntleroye a Larrance Dopsona. V písni také hostuje Justinova manželka Jessica Biel.

Justin Timberlake na písni "Man Of The Woods" opět spolupracoval i s několika starými známými: Chad Hugo a Pharrell Williams alias The Neptunes se podíleli na velké části autorské a producentské práce.

Ve studiu vzniklo celkem 16 nových skladeb, které se zabývají především osobními záležitostmi. Patří mezi ně rodinný život s manželkou a synem, Justinův domov v Memphisu a jeho vlastní kariéra.

Na "Man Of The Woods" jsou zastoupeni také dva speciální hosté: Každý z nich přispěl jednou písní: ikona soulu a R'n'B Alicia Keys a zpěvák a skladatel Chris Stapleton.
