Srdcebeat is the seventh studio album of the popular Czech band Kryštof. Just like the successful Inzerat album three years ago, the new record was produced by American producers Yaron Fuchs and Ido Zmishlany. The latter has worked on the album Handwritten by singer Shawn Mendes, which is one of the best-selling albums in the U.S. this year.Kryštof fans will find ten songs on the new album, including the title track Srdcebeat, which conquered Czech music radio. "It's a song about unconditional love, without all the ifs, ifs, maybes, and without compromise and the desire to change and be changed. Is there a chance to get it from anyone other than the kids? Can we do it ourselves? How many of us have met her in our lives? That's what I wrote Srdcebeat about," Richard Krajčo, the band's leading figure, introduces the new song.Optimism, euphoria, love and a bit of melancholy - all this is hidden in the new album, starting with the opening jolly track Every Morning and ending with the built-up ballad You and Me. While recording the album at the Sono studio near Prague and mixing and mastering it in New York, Kryštof relied on a modern pop sound that blends classic rock instruments with brass and electronics. I originally wanted to name the album after this song, because I think it reflects our current mood the most, but the guys wanted more Srdcebeat," says Richard Krajčo. The album also features a rush of energy in the Balkan style, as is usual on the band's albums; it was called Invasion. In the fragile duet Confession, the band invited as guests the charismatic singer Lenny and Fernando Saunders, bassist of the legendary Lou Reed. It's an album that would stand up anywhere on the planet. Strong melodies, modern sound, Richard's charisma. If the boys hadn't sung in Czech, they would have been a worldwide star," says producer Yaron Fuchs.The album is released by the band in cooperation with Universal Music. The CD, which will be released on June 1, 2015, will contain ten new songs, as well as a limited vinyl version (June 15).
