Vznik alba začal před více než sedmi lety, kdy se Lisa setkala s irským divadelním skladatelem Julesem Maxwellem před jejich první spoluprací. Album 'Burn' vychází u Atlantic Curve.

Přestože se jedná o nové album, jeho kořeny sahají až do roku 2012, přesněji do doby tehdejšího světového turné skupiny Dead Can Dance. Jules Maxwell, který se k turné skutečně připojil jako klávesista, napsal novou píseň společně s Lisou Gerrard. 'Rising Of The Moon' se hrála jako závěrečný přídavek na každém koncertě.

Než turné v roce 2013 v Chile definitivně skončilo, vytvořilo se mezi nimi silné pouto a v následujících letech se opakovaně objevily příležitosti ke spolupráci. Stylově je nové album 'Burn' mnohovrstevnatou směsicí elektroniky, alternativy, rozsáhlých zvukových krajin a world music s lehkými ozvěnami raného Vangelise.
