"Ascending To Infinity" is a challenging album and undoubtedly extremely multifaceted both instrumentally and lyrically. "In the past, when the music and lyrics had to fit into the concept of a fantasy saga, there was no room for deviating ideas, although on the latest RHAPSODY OF FIRE albums I have already taken the opportunity to incorporate various modern elements and often used symbolism in the lyrics to give seemingly simple words and sentences a deeper meaning. Over the years, these somewhat limited possibilities of expression have contributed to the urge to start a solo career and release albums with different themes at the same time. For the new RHAPSODY, however, there are no limitations and there is no thread across the albums that must be strictly followed. For this reason, I have no reason to live my life in another band anymore, so in August 2011, simultaneously with the announcement of our new RHAPSODY adventures, I announced the official end of my solo career so that I could focus my creative energy and concentrate my heart and soul only on RHAPSODY," Luca explains, adding: "Each song reflects a small slice of my soul's life. Each song, with its lyrical and musical context, opens a gateway, an emotional channel to another world. For example, "Quantum X", "Ascending To Infinity" and "Dark Fate Of Atlantis" are so interconnected that they are part of a concept about the theory of the multiverse, the mystery of the Kabbalah and the genetics of man. Again, I preferred to use linguistic stylistic devices such as symbolism and ambiguity. When I wrote Excalibur, for example, I did not intend to retell the infamous Arthurian legend, but to emphasize the symbolic value of this mystical sword and the meaning that has been attached to it for centuries. I consider "Of Michael the Archangel and the Fall of Lucifer" to be one of the best works I have ever produced. I like the modern cinematic feel and the deep meaning of the lyrics touches my soul. There have been several times when I have listened to the music and thought about the meaning of the lyrics and cried. It is essentially an emotional journey into the heart of the universe, combining scientific, esoteric and religious aspects. In good tradition, most of the text is in Latin and some of it was inspired by the Revelation of St. John."
