No way around it: the new single by Måneskin In their native Italy, Måneskin have long been recognised stars. And at the latest since they came first in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, you can't avoid the rock band here either. After their second album "Teatro d'ira Vol. I", which was released in March 2021 and reached number one in Italy and number eleven in Germany, the Roman rockers are releasing another new single at the end of the year. Damiano David explained at the press conference that they wrote the song shortly after winning the ESC: "We only had a few days to go into the studio and write new music, but luckily this song was written in a few hours - so we felt it would be a hit for us." The song pokes fun at all the assumptions and rumours that emerged after Måneskin's sudden international success earlier this year, the Måneskin frontman said. Bassist Victoria de Angelis added: "We didn't take it too seriously. It's a very silly, light-hearted song and we've never done anything like it before. It just came together naturally." Måneskin eventually recorded "Mammamia" live in the studio and produced it with Fabrizio Ferraguzzo. The song is now available as a single on CD.
