Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds is an English rock band that formed in 2010 soon after Noel's departure from Oasis. At the moment, the majority of the band consists of former members of that formation - guitarist Gem Archer, pianist Mike Rowe, drummer Chris Sharrock and the only exception is Russell Pritchard, bassist from The Zutons. The band's name was inspired by the Jefferson Airplane song High Flying Bird and was created while washing dishes and listening to a Fleetwood Mac album.
