Orville Peck combines a shoegaze vibe with the melodies and vocal skills of classic American country music to sing about love and loss from the wastelands of North America. The resulting sound is entirely his own. He leads the listener down desert roads, through a world where exhausted gamblers, road dogs and lovelorn hustlers drift between his masked gazes. Orville's debut album, Pony, delivers a diverse collection of stories that tell of heartbreak, revenge and the relentless tug-of-war for the cowboy ethos. Warm lap steel guitars and echoing drums are interspersed with dreamy ballads and sometimes frantic melodies - all paying homage to his country roots.

I first met Orville Peck when he opened for Tyler, the Creator on the "Garden Shed" tour. I was impressed with his voice and the way he performed. I later found out he had his own album out and was excited to hear it. The album is called "Pony" and it's a masterpiece. It's a blend of country, rock and blues and it's perfect. Orville's voice is amazing and the lyrics are so good. I can't stop listening to him.
