On November 9, 1995, it was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for delivering two million copies in the United States. As of November 2009, the album has sold 3.2 million copies in the United States. The album's lead single, "Perry Mason", was released on September 12, 1995. The song reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The second single, "I Just Want You", was released on January 8, 1996. The song reached number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100.
