The album features guest appearances by Tony Allen, Lilja Bloom, Lee Fields, Timothy A. White and Yehuda Solomon. The album was preceded by the singles "The Sun" and "All Night". The single "The Sun" was released for digital download on February 16, 2015, and the single "All Night" was released for digital download on May 9, 2015. The album received universally positive reviews from music critics. On Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 73, which is a "generally favorable rating" based on 9 reviews. Andy Gill of The Independent wrote in a positive review that "The Demon Diaries is a typically eclectic set, ranging from the Bond-esque 'The Sun' to the deep soul ballad 'All Night' with its chorus of 'I just want to love you all night long'". Šest let po vydání jeho šestého studiového alba "The Demon Diaries" je nyní LP k dispozici v limitované 180g edici na červeném vinylu. Parov Stelar v průběhu let pečlivě samploval, remixoval a odkazoval na některé z nejvlivnějších zvuků minulosti. Nasamploval zvuky z minulých epoch, vdechl jim nový život a přenesl je do současnosti.

Je to definice určitého stylu, určitého zvuku, THE Parov Stelar sound. Hudební démoni nejsou vždy tak temní a zlí, jak by se mohlo na první pohled zdát. Hnací silou "Deníků démonů" je autorův neklid. Ačkoli je často vnímán jako neduh, zde působí jako katalyzátor kreativity, touhy posunout věci dál, jít rychleji a letět výš než kdykoli předtím.
