Christmas on the Blue Violin: this is the name of violinist Pavel Sporcel's first Christmas album, recorded with the world-famous Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and conductor Sebastian Lang - Lessing. The album with famous and lesser-known Christmas melodies, songs and traditional carols in special arrangements for solo violin with orchestral accompaniment will be released on 3 November this year by the Czech choir Boni pueri and harpist Jana Bouskova. Seventy musicians on one stage will be joined by the violinist's tour of the same name, which will visit eleven cities in the Czech Republic. "The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra is undoubtedly one of the best orchestras in the world. I have worked with it several times in the past, but this was the first time we recorded. It was an enriching experience. I was also thrilled to play with the wonderful and world-famous conductor Sebastian Lang - Lessing. I shouldn't forget to mention the internationally acclaimed producer Jon Cohen, who has several fabulous Christmas records to his credit. I myself was also very actively involved in arranging the songs, especially my violin part," adds Pavel Sporcl about the Liverpool recording. On the new album Christmas on the Blue Violin, besides the hits Rolnicky, the enchanting Silent Night and Schubert's Ave Maria, the violinist's latest own composition is also included. In the Advent and Christmas season, we have been decorating the celebrations of festivals with it since the beginning of time. Its beauty enhances the atmosphere of festive moments not only in sacred and concert spaces, but also in our homes. That's why I made this recording with Christmas carols and songs from different parts of the world, which I love," says the violin virtuoso.The release of this album on Universal Music will be followed by the violinist's SPORCL ARTS Agency, which is the advisor of the PAVEL SPORCL - CHRISTMAS ON BLUE HOUSLES - GENERALI TOUR 2017. The series of concerts will start on 4 December in Cesky Budejovice and end on 22 December in Karlovy Vary. Twelve concerts in eleven cities of the Czech Republic will bring together seventy artists on one stage. In the Czech cities the violinist will be accompanied by the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra, in Moravia by the Bohuslav Martin Philharmonic Orchestra Zlin. The unique and magnificent concerts will be graced by the choral voices of the renowned Czech Boys Choir Boni pueri and the soprano of Jana Srejma Kacirkova, two-time Thalia winner in 2012. All the concerts will be conducted by Jan Kucera, chief conductor of the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra and guest conductor of the National Theatre. In Prague, the agency is planning two concerts in the multifunctional space of Forum Karlin on 19 and 20 December. The special guest of these two concerts will be the leading Czech harpist Jana Bouskova. The recording of the first concert, held in Forum Karlin, will be broadcast by Czech Television.
