The new Pet Shop Boys album is... "Super"! Modesty was yesterday. The Pet Shop Boys are unveiling a new album in 2016, and without further ado, they've called it "Super". Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe really don't need to be modest anymore. The legendary British electropop duo have been in the music business for over 30 years. In that time, they've released a full twelve albums. The fact that number 13 is "Super" is evidenced not only by the title, but especially by the twelve new songs. As always, it's a successful mix of synth-pop, new wave and electro, combined with 90s dance elements. The duo introduced the new album back in January 2016, when the first promotional single "Inner Sanctum" was released. Pet Shop Boys wrote and composed this and all other songs in London and Berlin. With the finished songs, they travelled to Los Angeles, where Stuart Price took over production. The result is called "Super" and is available on CD and LP (colored vinyl). Both formats have the same cover motif, but in different colors. In 2016, the Pet Shop Boys are still active in dance and electronic music. What does their new album sound like?
