Both Sides is the eighth studio album by Phil Collins, released in 1993. The album departed from his usual pop and rock sound and instead featured a more jazz and soul inspired sound. The album was a commercial and critical success, reaching number one in the UK and number two in the US. The album's lead single, "Both Sides of the Story", reached number six in the UK.

An extended look at the album "Both Sides "The album Both Sides was re-released in 2016 as part of an extensive reissue series called "Take A Look At Me Now". At the same time, the singer re-released his first solo album "Face Value". Six more LPs of songs from Collins' repertoire will also be released in the coming months. "Both Sides" is singer Phil Collins' fifth solo album, released in 1993. It is the only album in his career that the singer recorded and produced almost entirely by himself. Collins also played all the instruments on it himself. For the new release, all eight albums have been completely remastered and additional tracks have been added. The song selections were compiled by Collins himself. On the second CD or LP there are rare demo recordings, b-sides and especially live versions of the songs. According to Collins, they should allow for an understandable independent development of the songs. Included are live recordings of "Both Sides Of The Story", "Can't Turn Back The Years", "Survivors" and "We Wait And We Wonder". Phil Collins enlisted the help of an old friend for the remastering. Nick Davis has already produced many works by Genesis and its members. Most recently he worked on the box set "Genesis 1970-1975". Another interesting fact about the series: all albums have been given new covers. Because of this, Phil Collins had himself re-photographed in exactly the same poses as he can be seen in on the original covers. "Both Sides" is available as a double CD in digipack and as a double LP on 180g vinyl. The album is also available along with "Face Value" in the "Take A Look At Me Now" box set. This offers room for further releases in the series.
