Reissue of Phil Collins' "...But Seriously" As part of an extensive reissue series called "Take A Look At Me Now", the fourth studio album "...But Seriously" by Phil Collins was reissued in 2016. Also available simultaneously is a new edition of "The Essential Going Back", Collins' eighth and final solo album. Originally released in November 1989, "But Seriously" remains the Genesis frontman's second most successful album to date with over three million units sold. It reached number one in the UK, the US, Germany and other countries. Singles include the hits Another Day In Paradise and Do You Remember? Collins brought in several high-profile guests for the recording sessions, including David Crosby, Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood. In addition to "...But Seriously" and "Going Back", six more LPs of songs from Collins' repertoire were re-released in 2016. It started in January with his solo debut "Face Value" and his fifth solo album "Both Sides". Studio albums number two and six followed in February with "Hello, I Must Be Going!" and "Dance Into The Light". Finally, album number three "No Jacket Required" and album number nine "Testify" were released again in April. For the new release, Collins had all eight albums completely remastered and expanded with additional tracks. Above all, however, Collins added live versions to make the separate development of the songs understandable. He chose the songs himself. In addition to the album and live tracks, the Deluxe Edition also includes rare demo recordings. These include demos of "Another Day In Paradise" and "That's Just The Way It Is" and live versions of "Something Happened On The Way To Heaven" and "Saturday Night And Sunday Morning". Phil Collins enlisted the help of an old friend to remaster the album. Nick Davis has already produced many works by Genesis and its members. Most recently, he worked on the "Genesis 1970-1975" box set. Another interesting fact about the series: all albums have been given new covers. Because of this, Phil Collins had himself re-photographed in exactly the same poses as he can be seen in on the original covers. "...But Seriously" will be released as a double CD and double LP. An exclusive collector's box is also available with "Take A Look At Me Now", which already includes the "Face Value" and "Both Sides" albums and offers room for further releases in the series. Phil Collins' fourth studio album "...But Seriously" is finally available in a completely remastered and expanded version.
