In addition to the timeless live album and complete concert film (restored and re-edited from the original 35mm film and enhanced with 5.1 surround sound) included in "The Later Years" box set, all editions include a 24-page photo book, while the four-disc edition includes a 40-page photo book, tour poster and postcards. The 3-LP 180g vinyl set contains 9 tracks that were not included on the 1988 album release, the 2-CD set contains 8 more tracks than the original release. Nominated for a Grammy in 2020, Delicate Sound Of Thunder was filmed at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island in August 1988 under the direction of Wayne Isham and comes directly from over 100 cans of original 35mm film negatives that have been meticulously restored, resampled to 4K resolution and completely re-edited from restored and modernized footage by Benny Trickett under the creative direction of Aubrey Powell/Hipgnosis. The sound was also completely remixed from the original multi-track tapes under the auspices of longtime Pink Floyd sound engineer Andy Jackson and with the assistance of Pink Floyd's David Gilmour and Damon Iddins. Pink Floyd's stellar line-up of musicians in concert were backed by the following musicians: Jon Carin (keyboards, vocals), Tim Renwick (guitar, vocals), Guy Pratt (bass, vocals), Gary Wallis (drums), Scott Page (saxophone, guitar), Margret Taylor (backing vocals), Rachel Fury (backing vocals) and Durga McBroom (backing vocals). The setlist is balanced between then-new material and classic Pink Floyd songs, including songs from Dark Side Of The Moon (Time, On The Run, The Great Gig In The Sky and Us And Them), the anthemic title track Wish You Were Here, Comfortably Numb from The Wall and the cathartic Run Like Hell. The 2CD features all the songs from A Momentary Lapse Of Reason, including the powerful Learning To Fly, the lyrical On The Turning Away and the mesmerising Sorrow.
