After P!NK largely retired from the music world five years ago to focus on her family, the singer returned to the pop scene in 2017. Her new seventh solo album, Beautiful Trauma, is the follow-up to 2012's #1 album The Truth About Love. Alecia Beth Moore, P!NK's own name, wrote and recorded 13 new songs for the album with Johnny McDaid of the Irish-Scottish rock band Snow Patrol. Also contributing to the record were Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff, Swedish producers Max Martin and Johan Karl Schuster aka Shellback, and American pop singer-songwriter Julia Michaels. P!NK revealed what "Beautiful Trauma" sounds like back in August, via the first single "What About Us". Poté, co se P!NK před pěti lety z hudebního světa z velké části stáhla, aby se mohla více věnovat rodině, se zpěvačka v roce 2017 vrátila na popovou scénu. Beautiful Trauma is the seventh studio album by American singer P!NK.It was released on October 13, 2017 by RCA Records. The album was preceded by the release of the singles "What About Us" and "Beautiful Trauma". The album was recorded between 2016 and 2017 and was produced by Max Martin, Shellback, Jack Antonoff and Steve Mac. The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart with first-week sales of 283,000 album-equivalent units, of which 280,000 were pure album sales. It became P!NK's third album in a row to debut at number one in the United States. The album received a platinum record from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipping one million copies.
