After forty years, Queen has decided to change labels and will be under the umbrella of Universal Music from 1 January 2011. Queen decided to celebrate this important step and the anniversary of four decades of their existence by re-releasing all their albums! The legendary British band Queen managed to sell more than 170 million records during its existence and released a total of fifteen albums. Next year, all of their albums will be available to fans in a remastered reissue, which will always include previously unreleased bonus material. The first batch of reissues is scheduled for March! In the first month of spring we can look forward to the re-release of "Queen", "Queen II", "Sheer Heart Attack", "A Night At The Opera" and "A Day At The Races". The second remastered patch should reach fans in early summer. "We're all very excited to enter the next phase of our career - with a new label, new ideas and new dreams," said uncrowned frontman Brian May, among others, on the new deal with Universal Music. Queen's new phase will begin to bed down in February next year when an exhibition about the band called "Stormtroopers in Stilettos" opens in London. Shortly afterwards, the BBC will show a major TV documentary about the band and as a final celebration of the band's 40th anniversary, we can look forward to the release of a Hollywood feature film about Queen, with controversial comedian Sacha Baron Cohen taking on the role of lead singer Freddie Mercury!

The album contains seventeen tracks, three of which are new songs recorded by the band in 1991, shortly before the death of lead singer Freddie Mercury. Queen : Greatest Hits II was a commercial success, reaching number one in the United Kingdom and number two in the United States. It went platinum six times in the UK and four times platinum in the US. The album was well received by music critics, who praised the new songs and the selection of older tracks. The first single from the album, "These Are the Days of Our Lives", became a hit in the UK and reached number two in the singles chart. The second single, "I'm Going Slightly Mad", reached number twenty-one in the UK. The third and final single, "Headlong", reached number thirty-one in the UK.
