With a career spanning nearly 40 years and music that continues to inspire new generations of bands, Rush is not only one of the most successful bands of all time, but also one of the most popular. Last April, they finally got their well-deserved place alongside other rock music heavyweights. In Los Angeles, they have now been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! That's reason enough to celebrate, thanks to a completely remixed version of their 2002 album Vapor Trails. In 2009, two tracks, One Little Victory and Earthshine, appeared in remixed versions on the Retrospective III compilation. Fans around the world were excited and hoped that one day the entire album would be available in a new sound. The remixed version of Vapor Trails will also be included in a sensational box set called The Studio Albums 1989-2007, which contains all the albums Rush has recorded for Atlantic to date. The box includes the gold and platinum albums Presto (1989), Roll The Bones (1991), Counterparts (1993) and Test For Echo, as well as the EP Feedback (2004) in cover version and the Top 5 Billboard album Snakes & Arrows (2007). The Studio Albums 1989-2007 presents each album in artwork that reproduces the original cover art, with the exception of Vapor Trails , which features artwork adapted from the remix. With over 40 million albums sold worldwide and countless sold-out tours, Rush - Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Part - are not only one of the most innovative and exciting rock bands today, but also one of the most popular. The RIAA® has named them the band with the most gold or platinum studio albums after the Beatles and Rolling Stones. Their extensive catalog includes classic albums such as their 1974 debut Rush, 1976's 2112, 1981's Moving Pictures, 1996's Text For Echo and 2002's Vapor Trails. The album charted at number one in Canada and number two on the US Billboard 200, making it the highest charting album of their career. In addition to their pure commercial success, Rush have also been the recipients of numerous Juno Awards and several Grammy® nominations, including this year's nomination for the highly acclaimed documentary Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage . For the first time in 30 years, Rush also experienced their pop culture renaissance when they appeared on the Comedy Central television show "The Colbert Report". They also appeared in the movie "I Love You, Man". That same year, Canada's leading newspaper, The Globe & Mail, called them "one of the few bands that just keep getting better". An article in Rolling Stone magazine , which covered their career, summed up the band's continued artistic vitality: "It's true that Rush don't mean what they meant in 1976 or 1996. They mean so much more!" The recap of ,,...is now followed by The Studio Albums 1989 - 2007, an inexpensive survey of all the studio work subsequently released by Atlantic Records. The best material from the Atlantic years is then found on Roll The Bones and especially Counterparts, which flirts with the alternative rock of the time and is varied."
