Sabaton: The Last Stand DLX | LTD | PIC versie op vinyl 2LP/2CD/DVD/Doos in deluxe limited 45 RPM Picture Disc editie. Deze specifieke uitgave werd uitgebracht in Europa bij uitgeverij Nuclear Blast op 26. augustus 2016.
Sabaton proves their ingenuity Metal fans could only see Sabaton's qualities live on the "Heroes On Tour", and the Swedish power metal combo already presents a new studio album "The Last Stand" in 2016. "The Last Stand" is the follow-up to the successful 2014 album "Heroes", which reached number one in Sweden, number two in Finland and number three in Germany. This leads us to expect a lot from the new album. Joakim Brodén (vocals, keyboards), Pär Sundström (electric bass), Chris Rörland (electric guitar), Thobbe Englund (electric guitar) and Hannes Van Dahl (drums) recorded a total of eleven songs. Like their predecessors, they recorded together with Peter Tägtgren at his studio Abyss. The final mastering was done by Jonas Kjellgren. As usual, on "The Last Stand" Sabaton cover an area from the wide field of war events. The title already reveals that this is the subject of The Last Stand, which the band says has long been of interest to them. As for the music on the new album, the Swedes have once again managed to surprise their fans with fresh new ideas. The best example is the song "Blood of Bannockburn", the second single released after "The Lost Battalion". Here Sabaton experiment with bagpipes and organ. In addition to the standard CD and double LP, "The Last Stand" is available in two expanded formats. There is a CD and DVD set. The CD contains all the songs from the album including two bonus tracks. The DVD captures the band's performance in Nantes, France on February 24, 2016, featuring 19 songs. In addition to the album and DVD, another set includes a live CD of the Nantes performance and the album on double LP. Sabaton fans know what they have in their band. However, even after eight albums, the band can still surprise their listeners. "The Last Stand" is proof of that.
