Stone Temple Pilots celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of "Tiny Music... Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop" with the Super Deluxe edition. The 3 CD/1 LP set includes newly remastered versions of the original studio album on CD and vinyl, as well as previously unreleased versions of earlier versions, instrumentals and alternate takes, and a complete concert recording from 1997. The Deluxe Edition will also be released as a 2-CD version and the remaster of the original album will also be released as a 1-CD version. Stone Temple Pilots' third album was critically acclaimed for its versatility and clearly showed that the band was no fad. Their grunge roots remained intact, although Pilots were often considered too "commercial" for grunge. Guitarist Dean DeLeo is a true master of hooks; his palette of chords and melodies is never exhausted. Vocalist Scott Weiland comes across as a real showman in his lyrics.
