In September, fans of The Beatles will see the release of a rare live album! Decades after they ceased active activity, legendary British band The Beatles still have millions of fans around the world who hungrily await each reissue of their successful record. The real mania, however, comes when it is announced that such a reissue will also offer some bonus features that will appear on a record for the very first time. In the first half of next month, a documentary will be presented mapping the first part of the Beatles' era, from 1962 to 1966. Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and widows Yoko Ono Lennon and Olivia Harrison have also personally contributed to the documentary entitled The Beatles: Eight Days a Week - The Touring Years. The American director Ron Howard took on the conception and direction, and surrounded himself with a number of well-known producers (Brian Grazer and Nigel Sinclair, for example).Hand in hand with this documentary, which will premiere in cinemas on 16 September and then be available for purchase digitally, the Beatles: Live At The Hollywood Bowl, a re-release of the live album first released in 1977, will go on sale a week earlier. It is a recording of three sold-out concerts at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl in 1964 and 1965. Compared to the original release, the title, which will be available digitally and on CD from September 9 and on vinyl from November 18, this time will also offer several special bonus tracks... The basis for the upcoming release of the album was the original tapes of all the concerts. Making a recording was no simple matter in those days. "The chaos, one could say panic, that prevailed at the concerts was unbelievable. It was only possible to record three songs at a time, and the Beatles couldn't hear what they were singing at all, thanks to the endless screaming of 17,000 healthy young lungs," says Sir George Martin, who was behind the original live recording and its first release. For the planned re-release, all the original recordings have undergone the most modern clean-up processes, with Grammy Award-winning Giles Martin (son of Sir George Martin) and his colleague Sam Okell, also a Grammy Award-winning sound engineer, remastering and remixing the new versions of the songs at the renowned Abbey Road Studios. In addition to the thirteen original songs that made it onto the original recording, the upcoming 2016 version will also include four bonus songs that will be offered to fans for the very first time...Already this information clearly confirms that this time it will not be a mere re-release, which fans have been calling for for years, but another musical gem that will rightfully belong in the collection of every true Beatles fan!In September we will see the re-release of the famous live album of The Beatles. "The Beatles: Live At The Hollywood Bowl" will be released by Universal Music on September 9th!
