The Cure's exciting double concert retrospective Last year The Cure celebrated their 40th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the British pop/rock/wave/goth pioneers are presenting a concert retrospective in 2019: "40 Live - Curaetion 25 + Anniversary" is released as a complete set with a choice of two DVDs or two Blu-ray discs and as a double DVD or double Blu-ray with four CDs. In June, The Cure played a special set called "Cureation-25" at Meltdown Festival at London's Royal Festival Hall, featuring 13 songs from all 13 of the band's studio albums in chronological order, and finally 13 more, just in reverse chronological order. Other highlights included two previously unreleased songs "It Can Never Be The Same" and "Step Into The Light". Finally, in July 2018, The Cure held their annual concert in London's Hyde Park, where a total of 29 songs were performed and tens of thousands of fans came to hear them. The concert film "Anniversary 1978 - 2018: Live in Hyde Park London" was directed by Tim Pope. The "40 Live - Curaetion 25 + Anniversary" and "Meltdown" festival sets are now available together in both video and audio formats. "40 Live - Curaetion 25 + Anniversary" In 2018, The Cure played two historic shows to mark 40 years of their career. On October 18, 2019, Eagle Rock Entertainment will present two special performances to commemorate this milestone. 40 LIVE - CURÆTION-25 + ANNIVERSARY will be released in a 10" Deluxe Box (2Blu-ray+4CD or 2DVD+4CD, each with a 40-page booklet), a hardcover 2Blu-ray or 2DVD Book (with a 16-page booklet).
