Approximately 1.2 million people attended the concert, which was part of the 'Bigger Bang' world tour. Thousands more watched the concert from the balconies of nearby homes, and from boats and barges on the water. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts rocked the stage live in the tropical evening sunset, performing a set of songs from their 22nd studio album, 2005's "A Bigger Bang," and hits from throughout their career, including "Jumpin' Jack Flash," "Honky Tonk Women," "Sympathy For The Devil," "Start Me Up," "Brown Sugar" and "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction." This concert was a highlight not only for the fans, but for the band as well. Keith Richards had this to say: "It's not that we're not used to playing the biggest gigs in the world, but I have to say that Rio just topped everything." For the release of "A Bigger Bang: Live On Copacabana Beach 2006" all the recordings were remixed, edited, restored and mastered. For the first time, the complete recording is also available as a film. Also included are four previously unreleased tracks "Tumbling Dice", "Oh No, Not You Again", "This Place is Empty" and "Sympathy For The Devil". "A Bigger Bang: Live On Copacabana Beach 2006" is available as a DVD and Blu-ray, as a double CD including DVD or Blu-ray, as a 3-LP set and as a limited Deluxe Edition with double CD and double DVD.
