Canadian multi-platinum singer and three Grammy winner The Weeknd releases the EP My Dear Melancholy, which is described as a return to the darker work of the Trilogy and Kiss Land days. The mini album was mostly produced by Frank Dukes, who has worked with Drake, Kanye West and Post Malone in the past. Other contributors to the production include Skrillex, Mike Will Made It and Gesaffelstein.The Weeknd entered the music world in 2011, releasing three mixtapes, House of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes of Silence, which were released a year later as a compilation called Trilogy. He subsequently created his own label, XO, and released two albums that reached number one on the Billboard 200 - Beauty Behind the Madness (2015) and Starboy (2016). Over his career, his work has charted seven times in the top ten (Love Me Harder, Earned It, I Feel It Coming, Pray for Me, The Hills, Can't Feel My Face and Starboy) and in 2015 he became the first artist to simultaneously occupy the top three positions on the Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart.
