The euphoria persists: Thunder presents "Rip It Up" With the new album "Rip It Up", Thunder continues in 2017 what they have been doing continuously since the beginning of their career: going even further. Two years ago, their last album "Wonder Days" reached the top ten of the UK charts. And so one can't help but agree with frontman and vocalist Danny Bowes when he says that "Rip It Up" is an album the band couldn't have made ten or five years ago. Today, Thunder are certainly capable of doing that. The title track - a catchy, riff-heavy rock banger - proves it. Bowes and his men Luke Morley (guitar), Ben Matthews (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Chris Childs (bass) and Harry James (drums) recorded eleven new songs for the new album. And in addition to the real rock anthems, they also offer room for quieter and bluesier tones. Thunder recorded their eleventh studio album with Nick Brin at Rockfield Studios in Monmouth. Production was handled by Luke Morley himself. In addition to the standard CD, "Rip It Up" is also available as a double LP and as a deluxe edition with three CDs. The two bonus discs include over 90 minutes of live footage of "Live At The 100 Club", which was recorded in January 2016 at the legendary London club. The euphoria of their last record hasn't even worn off yet, and Thunder are already delivering the supplies. "Rip It Up" is the work of a band that has been getting better and better for years.
Album valt binnen het genre Rock en Hard Rock.
