Melodický, moderní metal s nádechem gotického šiku

Volturian je moderní metalová kapela založená zpěvačkou Federicou Lannou (Sleeping Romance) a skladatelem Federicem Mondellim (Frozen Crown). Zakládá si na velkém kontrastu mezi jemným, zasněným ženským vokálem a těžkými kytarami s masivním příměsí elektroniky.

Lannin bezchybný, éterický vokál se plynule pohybuje mezi pomalými, groovy skladbami a tužšími, "industriálem" inspirovanými hymnami, které drží pohromadě Mondelliho deathmetalové kytarové riffy v nejlepší švédské tradici (In Flames nebo Soilwork, začátek 00. let) a mohutné a přesné bicí! Klávesy dodávají zvuku Volturian zásadní příchuť, sahající od new wave až po europop 90. let a obskurní gotické atmosféry.

Koncept alba je založen na temných, obskurních a romantických tématech, která vnášejí do textů kapely temné viktoriánské vibrace.
