The Unforgiving is the fifth studio album by Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation.It was released on 18 March 2011 in the Netherlands, 21 March 2011 in the United Kingdom and 22 March 2011 in the United States. The album was produced by Daniel Gibson and is the band's first album to feature vocalist Sharon den Adel and guitarist Ruud Jolie. The album spawned four singles, "Faster", "In the Middle of the Night", "Sinead" and "What Have You Done". A deluxe edition of the album was also released, which included a second disc with five bonus tracks. Album valt binnen het genre Rock en Symfonisch metaal.
