The 40 Years of Yello retrospective is published as a limited and numbered 4CD book. The meticulously designed 60-page book contains exclusive liner notes for every Yello album released, including many rare and in some cases never-before-seen photographs. The first two CDs are classic Best Of with 41 tracks, which of course includes hits like "Oh Yeah", "Bostich", "The Race (live)" and "Vicious Games", as well as perennial fan favorites à la "I Love You" or "Rubberbandman". The third CD shows a more melodic and cinematic side of Yello - Mello Yello, so to speak. "The Rhythm Divine (feat. Shirley Bassey)" and "Desire" are included alongside more obscure gems ("Solar Driftwood" or "Otto di Catania"). The fourth CD collects Yello's favourite remixes from the band's 40-year history and adds previously unreleased remixes such as Mark Reeder's "Wet & Hard Mix" of "Vicious Games" (Factory Records).
