Christine McVie

British Singer-Songwriter and Fleetwood Mac Member

Christine McVie was an integral member of the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, contributing as a vocalist and keyboardist. Born Christine Perfect on July 12, 1943, in Bouth, Lancashire, England, she embarked on her music career in the 1960s with the blues band Chicken Shack before joining Fleetwood Mac in 1970 after marrying bassist John McVie. Her warm, distinctive voice and songwriting skills were pivotal to the band's success during their peak years. Christine McVie penned some of Fleetwood Mac's most beloved hits, including "Don't Stop," "You Make Loving Fun," and "Songbird." In addition to her work with the group, she also pursued a solo career, releasing her self-titled album "Christine McVie" in 1984 which featured the hit "Got a Hold on Me."
